True Anguilla is a high-quality, print destination guide published annually. We completely rebuilt the magazine’s online presence to better capture the depth and breadth of information they publish about the island.
With the onset of COVID-19, distribution of the physical magazine had to be stopped, and the publication had to refocus its efforts online.
With as much information as the magazine had amassed over the years, we started with a thorough user experience and information architecture session with the publisher/editor. We were able to prioritize information flow and user journeys on the site to allow for ease of finding content.
Site navigation was the major consideration. After 7 print editions and hundreds of pieces of content over the years, there was considerable information to include in the website. Users needed to be able to find any article seamlessly.
Another key feature was an advertiser directory offering links to all the businesses mentioned throughout the magazine and website - a real value-add for True Anguilla's advertisers.
The new site was launched to a tremendous reception. Integration with the magazine’s social channels as well as it's email marketing has boosted pageviews.
They've been able to drive traffic to paid, promotional content for the magazine's advertisers. With production of the printed version halted indefinitely, the site has allowed the magazine to offset some of the revenue lost since the pandemic started.
